Movember 2010… Day 9

Home, UK     9 November, 2010     12.30pm GMT

Another day of growth… the moustache is slightly more prominent than yesterday and much more prominent than last week. Even people in my Tai Chi class last night commented on it.

It does feel weird, especially as I have always thought that a moustache would never suit me – just take a look at the pic of me from 1985 in the Day 1 blog article. See what I mean?

Persevere I must. Just another 3 weeks to go, and as I’ll be back on the road again soon, I am wondering what reaction I will get from the airlines, who stop me 99% of the time for security checks if I have any sort of stubble or beard! I’ll report back…

It is raining cats and dogs again today, is cold and for the second day running, I have had the heating on all day long! This is not good for my soul. I need the sunshine in some sort of glory. I need blue skies (do not mind some cloud, just not totally overcast with cloud). Basically, I would like it to be warmer outside, and not the current 7 degrees celcius it is. Then again, I am certain many of you want the same.

Here is today’s update:

I have now raised £145 in sponsorship. Thanks to those of you who are supporting me in this. I hope more of you can support my ‘Mo’ growth by donating (even if it is just £1 / $1 / Eur 1) to the Prostate Cancer charity via my Mo Space at

Until tomorrow’s update… toodle pip!
