The picture below was commissioned by me back in the 2005 timeframe. I gave a rough sketch / stick drawing and an explanation of what I wanted, to the artist P. Cogley, and this was the result. I was extremely pleased with the end result – done in crayon on paper. This is the scanned version.
The interesting thing is that everyone who looks at the picture gets a different feeling.
I’d love to read your feelings when you look at the picture. You may give a general feeling, and/or you may give more detail… as an example, tell me what expression is on the person’s face, describe the look on the face of the person (note that the person is facing away – done deliberately), how are the eyes, how are the lips, what thoughts are going through the person’s mind? How does the picture make you feel? Why does it make you feel that way?
I’m leaving this page open to comments, and I look forward to your contributions.
