I’m not sure what is going on. Every single person I have met whom I have not seen for a few months have not recognised me!
At the RIPE meeting in Vienna, people were walking past me either until I called out to them and they then realised it was me, or they walked past me a second time, doing a double take and then realising it was me.
The same thing happened today. I walked into a hotel lobby for a meeting and the person I was meeting did not recognise me!
I would have shrugged it off as nothing if it was just a handful of people that this happened with, however, I am not exagerating her, it was every single person!
I wonder what it could be.. my longer hair, the lack of facial hair, or my specs.. or all three?

Something seems to be happening with my facial hair growth so I may be able to shape something tomorrow. You may notice that I shaved a section of my face – the bit under the sideburns. I’m still not sure what shape the moustache will take so keeping my options open by shaving as little around it as possible. 
Anyway, hopefully better progress tomorrow.
